Eyes in the air
Thermal drones, batteries, repairs, and equipment readiness.

Behind every missing-pet call is a family waiting. We’re building a community-supported recovery program to put more eyes in the air, more capable people on the ground, and a coordinated plan within reach.

FROM OUR ACTUAL RECOVERY WORKA successful response starts before the phone rings. Aircraft need maintenance. Batteries need replacing. Pilots need training, appropriate credentials, and insurance. Ground teams need equipment, transportation, and time. A humane recovery program also needs monitored enclosures and people ready to follow through.
Our goal is to build that capacity across the Peninsula, Greater Richmond, and surrounding areas. Community support would help expand equipment, personnel, and practical recovery options, including planned humane trapping support.
Thermal drones, batteries, repairs, and equipment readiness.
Trained people, travel, communications, and coordinated field response.
Humane live enclosures, monitoring equipment, and handling supplies as the program develops.
Insurance, required credentials, training, and program administration.
In an ASPCA study published in 2012, 15% of surveyed pet-owning households reported a lost dog or cat during the previous five years. The survey included 1,015 households.
Historical national research, not a current annual or Virginia-specific rate, and not a measure of drone effectiveness. Read the ASPCA study summary ↗
One-time support can help build capacity. Monthly support can help us plan for recurring costs and keep equipment and people ready.
We intend to share program milestones, spending summaries, and recovery stories with permission. We will publish the legal recipient, donation terms, and confirmed tax status before accepting gifts.
Preview only. No payment or pledge is collected. Captured Hearts is in development; tax-deductible status has not been confirmed. Suggested amounts are not prices for individual rescues.
Ask Jut about the program ↗We’re interested in building referral relationships with local shelters and veterinary teams that need another option for missing-pet cases. Share the last confirmed sighting, current search efforts, and an owner contact with their permission. We’ll discuss whether a drone search may fit the situation and our current availability.
Referral partnerships are being developed. A referral does not guarantee deployment, free services, or a recovery.
Discuss a referral partnership ↗Call or text Jut with your location, last sighting, and a description of your pet.
