1. Notice a warm shape.
Animals give off heat. A thermal camera can make that heat stand out against cooler ground or vegetation when there is a clear view.

Searching for a missing dog or cat? Our thermal drone searches help identify possible animal locations from above, then guide a closer look at the areas that matter. Based in New Kent and serving Eastern Virginia by arrangement.

A warm spot is a lead, not a confirmed pet. Other animals and objects can also appear warm. We assess the sighting before calling it a match.
A location helps focus the recovery effort. Depending on the pet’s behavior, the next step may be observation, a careful approach, or a humane trapping plan.

We’re developing humane trapping support alongside drone services, so a located pet can have a practical path toward safe containment.

Based in New Kent, we discuss missing-pet searches in the Richmond and Williamsburg areas and across Eastern Virginia. Share your county and last confirmed sighting so we can assess travel, access, and availability.
Deployment and trapping support are arranged case by case. Call for current availability before making plans around a search.

This photo shows a dog on the drone’s visible-light camera. Thermal imaging can help identify a possible location; a closer camera view and checks on the ground help us confirm what we are seeing.
See real recovery photos →No. Thermal cameras do not see through solid objects or dense canopy. Open sightlines, weather, vegetation, and the pet’s location all affect what can be detected.
Your county or town, the last confirmed sighting and time, a recent photo or description, your pet’s temperament, and any access details. We’ll ask about recent sightings and search efforts.
No search or trapping method can guarantee a recovery. We’ll discuss feasibility, availability, scope, and any charges before work is arranged. A planned nonprofit structure does not mean every service is free.
